BIO

Dr. Leonard is a versatile researcher and engineer with experience in both industrial and laboratory environments. He has a strong interest in developing new materials and processes. His research projects concern carbon materials, antimicrobial protective coatings, x-ray and neutron imaging, and ion batteries. Prior to his employment at the University of Tennessee, he spent 12 years working as a project and tooling engineer for an automotive supplier with annual sales exceeding one hundred million dollars.
